Giacomina Lister Obituary

Giacomina Lister, 91, of Paramus, NJ, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025. Born on October 8, 1933, in Susak, Croatia, she immigrated to the United States in 1962 and resided in Cliffside Park for 47 years. Giacomina lived a life of faith, love, and dedication. A devout member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, she was deeply involved in the parish community and built lasting relationships with her fellow congregants.


She is survived by her loving sisters, Maria Tarabocchia and Denci Tarabokija, and her brother-in-laws, John Tarabocchia and Tony Tarabokija. Giacomina was a cherished aunt to Roseann Mattessich, Flavio Mattessich, Patty Piccinich, John Piccinich, Anthony Tarabocchia, and Maggie Tarabocchia. She is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews, including Kayla, Tim, Anthony, Emily, Brielle, Michael, JJ, Zoe, Kelly, Jorge, Michael, Laycee, Juliet, Tessa, and Noah.


Giacomina was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Gaudencia Lister, and her sister, Gaudencia Lister.


Her family finds comfort in knowing that her life was full of kindness, grace, and a deep connection to her faith. In lieu of flowers, donations in Giacomina's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.


Services to honor Giacomina’s life will be held at Joseph Z. Konopka Funeral Home, L.L.C., located at 9046 Palisade Ave., North Bergen, NJ 07047.


May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she shared throughout her life.
