Obituary of Gladys Teresa Morffi

Gladys Teresa Morffi, 96, of Fairview, NJ, passed away surrounded by loving family on June 4, 2025. Gladys was born on May 4, 1929 to parents, Rosendo Jimenez and Angela Jimenez (Garcia) in Cruces, Cienfuegos, Cuba. She immigrated to the U.S. in 1957 and became a naturalized citizen in 1962. A gifted seamstress, she was known for being very fashionable. She worked in the textile industry for many years, making clothing for many of her friends and family. In her spare time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and hosting family gatherings. She touched the lives of countless people and was beloved by so many. She is survived by her children, Raul A. Morffi and Lincoln Richard Morffi (Silvia), siblings, Lourdes Dueñas, Iluminada “Lumi” Williams, Rosendo “Rosendito” Jimenez, Antonio “Tony” Jimenez, Maricela Jimenez, and Pedro Alonso, grandchildren, Valerie Leyden-Sloan (Andrew), Nicholas Leyden-Morffi (Becky), and Sarah Leyden-Morffi (Michael), beloved great grandson, Declan, and many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Gladys will be reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Raul Morffi, parents, Rosendo Jimenez and Angela Jimenez (Garcia), son, Robert “Hawke” Morffi, siblings, Dalia “Yaya” Jimenez, Geisa Del Sol, Miguel Jimenez, Gilberto “Berto” Jimenez, and Domingo “Mingo” Jimenez. Visitation, in memory of Gladys, will take place on Friday, June 13th 2025, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Joseph Z. Konopka Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church at 10:30 AM on Saturday, June 14th. After mass, we will take Gladys to her final resting place in Fairview Mausoleum.
