Susan Sheer, 74, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2025.

Born on October 16, 1951, in Plainfield, New Jersey, Susan was the beloved daughter of the late Frank Sheer and Eleanor Sheer (née Schildbach). She grew up in Jersey City, where she attended Snyder High School, later moved to Cliffside Park and eventually made her way back to Jersey City, where she remained for many years.

Susan dedicated much of her career to her work in data entry at APA Transport in North Bergen, where her commitment, attention to detail, and kind spirit earned the respect and friendship of her colleagues.

A proud and devoted parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church in Jersey City, Susan’s deep faith was a guiding presence throughout her life. Her quiet strength, generosity, and devotion to others reflected the values she held most dear.

She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Eleanor Sheer, as well as her beloved sister, Debra Sheer. Susan is survived by her cousins Bob Gertz of Bradenton, Florida and Todd Gertz of Longboat Key, Florida and her dear friends, Rosalie Tomaszewski, Veronica McCormack and many other cherished friends who were like family to her.

Susan will be remembered for her bright smile, her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services for Susan will take place on Thursday, December 11th at 11:45 AM in Holy Name Mausoleum Jersey City, NJ.
