Liberata Zekic, 79, of Fairview, was born in Susak, Croatia on July 3, 1946 and passed away on January 21, 2026.

She settled in Hoboken, NJ in 1964 before moving to Fairview, NJ in 1977. Beloved and cherished wife of 59 years to Nado Zekic. Devoted mother to daughters Rosanna, Denise, and Diane. Beloved mother-in-law of Diane's husband Joseph. Loving Grandmother to Marco & Nicolas and mother-in-law of Mark. Liberata was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family.

Liberata is preceded in death by her parents Vjeko and Antica Matesic. Beloved sister of Maria Colovic (Bosko), Antonia Reljanovic, Anica Sertic, and the late Rina Tarabocchia, Ivan, Grgo, Vjeko, Angelo, and Martin Matesic. Dear sister-in-law of Maria Matesic and the late Paulo Tarabocchia, Petar Reljanovic, Milan Sertic.

Liberata's In-Law Family: Sister-in-law to Marija Miletic (Dusan), Danica Simicev and Magda Zekic. She is preceded in death by Nena & Joso Alaburic, Dragica & Ive Miletic, Jure Zekic, and Slavko Simicev. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Liberata will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026 from 3 PM - 7 PM at the Joseph Z Konopka Funeral Home.

Funeral mass will be held the following day, Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Epiphany Church beginning at 9:30 AM.

After mass, we will take Liberata to her final resting place in Fairview Mausoleum for entombment at 11 AM.
