Obituary of Stefano Piccinich

Stefano Piccinich, Age 93, of Palisades Park, N J passed away peacefully on Palm Sunday April 9, 2017. Beloved spouse of Milena (nee Busanic, Matesic) and the late Mary (nee Cutugno). Devoted father of Mattea Truppe and her husband Robert, John Piccinich and his wife Susan, Domenick Piccinich and his wife Mary Jane, and the late Josephine De Cristofaro. Dear stepfather of George Matesic and his wife Fiorella and Eleonora Michalopoulos and her husband Nick. Loving grandfather of eighteen and cherished great-grandfather of five. Devoted brother-in-law of Matteo Hroncich of NJ and Rosalie Cutugno of Florida. Dear uncle of several nieces and nephews. Stefano was born in Susak, Croatia. He was a retired Longshoreman for NY ILA Local 895. Stefano loved to travel taking many trips with Milena and their friends. He was a member of the St. Nicholas Society in Fairview, NJ and a parishioner of St. Michael Church in Palisades Park. A devoted Catholic, Stefano loved fishing off the shores of Eastern Long Island and playing cards with his friends in the “Klup." Everyone who knew Stefano knew how much he loved watching his favorite Italian soccer teams. There is a story to be told by all who knew him, and he will be missed most when regaling them.
