Obituary of Anthony Louis Maresca
Anthony Louis “Lindy” Maresca, Age 90, of Howell, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 12th, 2017.
Anthony was born in Jersey City, December 21st, 1926 and resided in North Jersey, until moving to Howell 14 years ago.
He sailed on a USS Minesweeper as a proud Navy Seaman during World War II. He worked for the A&P Grocery Store and retired gladly after 43 years. He loved to golf and proudly carried his “Hole in One” card for many years. He loved being around family watching his beloved Yankee’s and NY Giants
Anthony is predeceased by his brother Ernie Maresca, sister Christine Scala brother Frank Maresca and Patsy Maresca. After the war, he married the love of his life, Rose Cozzubbo. They were happily married 62 years and he joins her in heaven for his eternal rest.
Anthony will forever be cherished and missed by his children, Michael Maresca of Lodi, NJ and wife Ancilla, Ann Canaletich of Toms River, NJ and husband Al, Marie Taylor of Bayville, NJ and husband Walter, Kathy Allen of Little Ferry, NJ and husband Charlie, Mark Maresca of Woodstock, Ct. and wife Kathleen, William Maresca of Howell and wife Annette. His grandchildren will miss him as well, Anthony, Carlo and Christopher Canaletich, Scott and Brian Taylor, Heather (Allen) Patino and Justin Allen, Jennifer Dorsch, Kerri and James Maresca, Madison, Kaitlin and Jenna Maresca. He also was blessed with 5 great grandchildren that we miss him as well, Kyle, Noah, Heaven, Mia and Stella.
Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 PM at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Avenue, North Bergen, NJ. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday t St Joseph’s of the Palisades Church, West New York, NJ. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Fairview. In lieu of flowers, the Family asks that donations be made to Deborah Hospital Foundation, 212 Trenton Road, Browns Mills, NJ 08015 or online at www.deborahfoundation.org.
