Man of Great Faith
John A Brennan, 82 , passed away peacefully on April 12, 2016 surrounded by his loved ones. Raised in Newark, John was a graduate of St Benedict’s Prep and attended St. Peter’s College. He spent a career in retail, working for the former Larkey’s and Macy’s. John was a member of the Gregory Club and the Knights of Columbus. He delighted in his extended family and was an avid movie buff and enjoyed current events and politics.
He is survived by his loving companion, Janet Benzoni, his sisters Barbara Penders (James), Madelyn Berensmann, Evelyn Romano (Albert) and nieces Susan Abely and Beth Rojack, nephews Michael, William and Stephen Penders, eight grand nieces and seven grand nephews.
Visiting Hours on Thursday, April 14, 2016 at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Avenue North Bergen from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral Mass at 10AM on Friday at Sacred Heart Church, North Bergen, NJ. Interment to follow at St. Vincent’s Cemetery, Madison, NJ.
