Jack (Jakomo) Matesic, Age 86, of Fairview,NJ passed away on March 27,2019.  Beloved Husband of Ester (née Lister). Devoted Father of Katherine Morin (late Nikola), Matea Morin and Jeff (Antoinette) Matesic.. Dear Brother of Matea Kastelan, Dinka Lopez, Dora Kelly and the late Josip, Nick, Benito, Ivan, Mateo, Anton, Bruno, Serafina Bratovic, and Maria Kokolo. Loving Grandfather of Nick Morin Jr., Derek, Jason and Anthony Morin, John Morin, Jaclyn Marques (Lucas), Vanessa Morin, Ashley Oravetz (Chris) and Brittany Matesic. Cherished Great-Grandfather of Jayden and Scarlett Morin.

Jack was born in Susak, Croatia on May 1, 1932 to the late Joseph and Matea Matesic. He came to the US in 1963 and lived in Astoria, NY and then Fairview for the last 30 years. He retired as a waiter from Giovanni’s Restaurant in Manhattan, NY and later worked for Villa Almafi Restaurant in Cliffside Park.

Visiting Hours on Friday, March 29, 2019 from 4 to 9 PM at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Avenue, North Bergen,NJ. Funeral Mass on Saturday, at 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Grace Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview,NJ. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview.
