Obituary of Dia Zimmerman Pines

Dia Zimmermann Pines of Fort Lee,NJ, Age 68. Beloved Mother of Katherine Pines and Leanne Pines. Beloved Sister of Gary Zimmermann, and Cherished Aunt of Steven Zimmermann, Sarah Zimmermann and Jordan Zimmermann, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Holy Name Hospital in Teaneck, NJ. Dia was born in Jersey City, NJ, daughter of George Zimmermann and Mary Cozzubbo Zimmermann, on September 26, 1951. After high school, Dia attended the NY School of Visual Arts and then moved to Santa Barbara, CA, worked as a typesetter, and moved to live in other states before finally returning to NJ in 1986, where she soon got married and raised a family. Later, she returned to the work force with a new career as a massage therapist. All her life, she also kept up with her passion for her artwork, primarily paintings and drawings. Dia was a sweet, gentle soul that touched many people's lives and will be deeply missed by many. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29 from 3pm to 7pm at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisades Ave., North Bergen, NJ , and a Funeral Services will be held there at 11:30AM on Monday, December 30th. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery. We will miss Dia very much, but know she is at peace and smiling upon us.
