George E. Stoehr, Age 86 of Barnegat, NJ, formerly of Cliffside Park, passed away on Sunday, April, 5, 2020. George was born October 12, 1933 to William & Christina (née Schoener) Stoehr, the youngest of three children (William Stoehr & Betty Kirby). George served in the US Army and loved telling stories of the time he spent in Alaska. He was ordained a Roman Catholic Deacon on December 11, 1977 by the Archdiocese of Newark. George was also a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus member. George is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Rita (née Le Rose). Beloved Father to Lauren Teats and her husband Scott; Karen Murray and her husband Charles; Sheren Stoehr and Philip D’Amato. Cherished grandfather of Alexis Teats, Danielle Murray and fiancé Daniel Rankin, Zachary Teats, Alyssa Teats, Fiona Murray and Austin Teats. George was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and Gizmo. A celebration of George’s life will be held in the near future when family and friends can be together again.
