My grandmother was one heck of a women. She was wonderful, generous and kind. As a child, my grandma spoiled my sister and I rotten, not just with toys but with an immense amount of love. Ive enjoyed every moment I’ve spent with her. I can honestly say I don’t think she ever got mad with me or argued... except when debating if Mamma Mia was a good movie or who was the best character on NCIS. I learned a lot from my grandmother, including how to knit which is a skill I cherish. I also learned how to bake butter cookies which I will continue to make for our family with her recipe. Most importantly, she taught me to be headstrong just like she was. I am extremely lucky that I knew her. I am blessed that my father had such an amazing mother who I got to call my grandmother. She was a strong, beautiful women who will not be forgotten. We will love her always. My grandfather told me last night about a song called goodnight Irene... in the song, it says goodnight Irene, I’ll see you in my dreams. I know for a fact that grandma will be visiting all of us in our dreams and watching over us. Rest In Peace grandma, we will miss you.
