Castronovo, Eleanor M (nee Carughi) Age 94 of Palisades Park, NJ passed away on August 10, 2021. Devoted Wife to the late John Thomas (2009).Beloved Mother of Thomas Castronovo (Janet) and Linda Castronovo. Dear Sister to the late Lillian Coombs, Frederick Carughi and Dorothy Bender. Loving grandmother of Joellen Masiello (Joseph), Gillian Dionisio (Anthony) and Bonnie Cousins (Roel). Cherished great-grandmother to 9 great -grand children. Eleanor was born in Englewood, NJ on April 2,1927 to the late Frederick Carughi and Anna (nee Eichapfel). She lived in Fairview before moving to Palisades Park in 1978. Eleanor worked as the book keeper and secretary for Castro Music Studio in Fairview, NJ which she and her husband owned. Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at 12 Noon at Our Lady of Grace Church, 395 Delano Place, Fairview, NJ 07022. Everyone is asked to meet at church. Entombment to follow at Madonna Mausoleum, 2070 Hofley’s Lane, Fort Lee, NJ 07024.
