Obituary of Alice Istanbouli

Alice Istanbouli of Palisades Park, NJ, Age 86, passed away on August 31, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Barkev Meyvalian. Devoted mother of Siran, Raffi, and Garbis. Dear sister of Marie, Hermine, and late Rosine, Antionette, and Gabrielle. Adored aunt to many nieces and nephews. Loving grandmother of Vahe, Vatche, Barkev, Sarkis, Rita, and Maria and loving Great-grandmother of Aram. Alice was born on September 27, 1936, in Aleppo, Syria to the late Krikor and Lusin. She was married to her late husband, Barkev, in 1960, who she took care of until his death. Together they raised a loving Christian family. She moved to Palisades Park, NJ in 2007. Alice was devoted to God and her family and always prayed for her loved ones. She was a kind and compassionate soul who wanted the best for everybody. A prayer service will be held on Saturday, September 4th at 9 AM at St. Vartanantz Church in Ridgefield, following a funeral at 10 AM at George Washington Cemetery in Paramus, and a reception at Krichian's Grill & Bistro in Paterson.
