Richard J Waechter, Age 70 of North Bergen, NJ passed away on September 1, 2021. Beloved Husband of Angela (nee Locorriere). Devoted Father of Paige Kelly(Lance), Kimberly Currie (Darren), Cynthia Fogel (Brett) and Jeffrey Waechter. Loving grandfather of Matthew Rivas, Jacob Currie, Juliet Fogel and Ruby Fogel. Cherished great-grandfather of Axel Rivas. Also surviving are his extended family and many friends.
Richard was born in Jersey City, NJ on March 14, 1951 to the late Hugo and Marjorie (nee Schecker) Waechter and lived in Union City before moving to North Bergen in 1973. He was a retired machinist for Metro North Railroad, New York.
Visiting Hours on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 4 to 8 pm at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Ave, North Bergen, NJ. Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 12 Noon at St Matthew's Church, Ridgefield, NJ. Private Cremation on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, donations to St Jude Children's Hospital, Memphis TN. would be appreciated by the family.
