Irene Theresa Pizzino (née Kulesza), Age 94, of Cedar Grove, NJ, formerly of Cliffside Park, NJ, passed away on January 24, 2022. Beloved wife of 42 years to the late Richard. Devoted Mother of Victoria Pizzino and Nancy and her husband Joe Cirasa. Loving Grandmother to Joseph and Daniel.

Irene was born on December 29, 1927 to Hipolit and Wiktorja (née Dlugosz)Kulesza and was raised in Cliffside Park, NJ. She graduated from Fordham University in 1949 where she majored in Accounting. She started her career with Bernard Torraco Co., CPA firm in Jersey City and then worked for Capricuso and Nardino in Saddlebrook, NJ, and retired in 1996 from the CPA firm of A. Capricuso of Hackensack, NJ. She spent the last 26 years as a resident of Cedar Grove, NJ., where she was able to enjoy seeing her grandsons grow to young men. Irene loved to read every day on her iPad and watch mystery shows.

Visiting on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 4 to 8 pm at Shook’s Cedar Grove Funeral Home, 486 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009. Funeral Mass on Friday,January 28, 2022 at 10am at St Catherine of Siena Church, 339 Pompton Avenue, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009. Entombment to follow at Hackensack Cemetery and Mausoleum, 289 Hackensack Avenue, Hackensack, NJ. The Family requests that masks be worn during Visitation and the Funeral Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN at www.stjude.org.
