Gianmartino Matesic, (Martino), Age 78 of Cliffside Park, NJ passed away on January 2, 2023. Beloved husband of Antonia (nee Tarabokija). Devoted Father of Fran Royals (Mark), Dina Weintraub (David), and Martin Matesic (Shannon). Dear Brother of Erminia Matesic. Cherished Grandfather of Chelsea Picinic, Daniel Picinic, Elijah Weintraub, Emma Grace Weintraub and Jade Sanmartin. Dear Brother-in-law of John and Lisa Tarabokija and Anna Tarabokija (late Steve). Also surviving are nieces and nephews. Martino was born in Susak, Croatia on July 25, 1944 to the late Martino and Dinka (Saganic) and came to the US in 1962 and lived in Hoboken before moving to Cliffside Park in 1973. He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Church, North Bergen and an usher and a member of Susak Klapa Society, Fairview. Martini was a retired machinist. Visiting Hours on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 4 to 8 pm at Konopka Funeral Home, 9046 Palisade Ave, North Bergen, NJ. Funeral Mass on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, North Bergen, NJ. Entombment to follow at Fairview Mausoleum, Fairview, NJ.
